Wednesday Night Drop-In Groups at CGRC

Twice a month at the retreat center we have drop-in Wednesday night groups.

The First Wednesday of the month is a Community Group led by Matthew King and other practice leaders

This community group is a drop-in group for meditators of any experience level, including beginners, facilitated by an experienced Common Ground practice leader.

Schedule:
6:30pm-7pm Sitting meditation; we’ll start with a brief guided meditation
7pm-7:15pm Time to stretch the legs and make a cup of tea
7:15pm-7:45pm Tea and practice discussion

The Third Wednesday of the month is a Monthly Practice Group with Mark Nunberg or guest teachers

This monthly practice group at the retreat center is open to the public and is designed to support one’s mindful awareness practice by providing ongoing instructions that will help illuminate this simple but challenging practice. The Buddha taught that mindfulness is the way to go beyond our habits of distraction and reactivity to our likes and dislikes. To develop wisdom and compassion, it helps to have the support of a community that shares this intention. Each session includes a guided meditation and a short talk and facilitated discussion.  Both experienced and beginning meditators are welcome.  No registration necessary.

In January 2022 Mark Nunberg will offer a 3-week Introduction to Mindfulness class on three Wednesdays in a row: January 12th, 19th, and 26th, 6:30-7:45pm.
