Buddhists attending Treaty People Gathering Opposing Line 3
Hi CG community, passing on information about an upcoming gathering in opposition to Line 3 that some Buddhists in the Twin Cities are attending, for those of you who may be interested. Ben Connelly of Minnesota Zen Center is organizing Buddhists who are attending the gathering. He writes:
As many of you know there is a Treaty People Gathering June 5-8 in Northern Minnesota to support Indigenous water protectors to Stop Line 3, protect waters and the climate. Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light is doing some really good organizing to support folks getting up there, find a place to stay, etc. There is more info and registration stuff here. I am planning to be there the whole time.I’m hearing from Buddhists who want to connect around attending so I have created this google doc:Anyone with this link can edit the document. Feel free to add your name if you are attending, when and where you are planning to be there (if you know). Feel free to distribute this link to anyone you’d like. Particularly Buddhist who are thinking of attending Treaty People Gathering.
