Due to the pandemic, we are moving our in-person programs online. We are offering programs via Youtube livestream and Zoom meetings. You can see the full list of programs and links to participate in the calendar below. Most programs are drop-in; if registration is required, there will be a link to a registration form in the event description.
The Practice of Generosity
Continuing in the tradition of Buddhist monasteries in Southeast Asia, all programs at Common Ground, including these online programs, are offered free of charge in the spirit of generosity. This offering is possible because of the generosity of people like you—from the Buddha on down to all the people in our community—who contribute their practice, time, and financial resources to support the continuation of the center.
In the calendar below, you’ll notice two colors of text. Blue programs are teacher-led; any donations offered in support of that program will be split with two-thirds supporting the teacher and one-third supporting the center’s operating costs. Green programs are peer-led; these are facilitated by community members who do not receive financial support.
If you’d like to learn more about how we operate or want to volunteer or donate to support the teachers’ livelihoods and the center’s operating costs, visit our Supporting the Center page.

Registration Priority Policy
Common Ground is committed to giving registration priority to members of some communities that have experienced historical oppression: Black, Indigenous, people of color, transgender, and genderqueer folks. We hope this increases the likelihood of a sense of safety and belonging for all members of our community. We recognize this policy benefits us all as we practice the Buddha’s teachings in an increasingly multicultural community and engage in the ongoing work needed to create a more equitable world.
