Donations to support our Guiding Teachers and the general operations of our centers

If you wish to donate to the general fund, leave the write-in space blank.

General fund contributions support the centers' operating costs as well as the livelihood of our Guiding Teachers. Mark and Shelly live on dana, receiving a salary each year determined by the Board of Directors based on prior year donations.

Donate to a Specific Teacher

If you wish to support a teacher other than Mark or Shelly, write the teacher and/or program name in the write-in space. When you identify a specific teacher, Common Ground gifts two-thirds the amount of your donation to that teacher, applying the remaining one-third to the general fund.

Donate to the Retreat Center

If you wish to support retreat center operations, write "retreat center" in the write-in space. For a teacher-led retreat, write the teacher names; Common Ground gifts one-half of the amount of your donation to the teacher(s), applying the remaining one-half to the general fund. [Note: practice periods are usually led by volunteer practice leaders who don't receive donations.]

Set up a recurring donation from your bank account

Contact your bank for specific instructions, but for many people you should be able to set up a recurring (or one-time) donation directly from your bank account by using your online banking's Bill Pay service or equivalent. Most banks do not charge for this service.
