Directions
It’s a good idea to print these directions out if you can because cell phone reception can go out in the last leg of the journey, once you’re in the country. Here are the directions in a separate document for ease of printing.
- Take I-35W north.
- Take MN-36 east
- 36 turns into 64 East
- At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto 63 North / 64 East
- Continue straight onto WI-64 E
- Continue east on WI-64 15 miles until you reach Connorsville. (You will pass through the little town of Forest on the way.)
- Pass through the town of Connorsville, and continue another 1/2 mile until you reach County Road V.
- Turn left (north) onto County Road V. (Just after your turn, you will see a building on the right that says AMVETS POST 72 in white letters.)
- Continue another 7.2 miles on County Road V. CAUTION: County V is slow and winding and can be challenging in poor conditions. Also keep an eye out for farm vehicles on the road.
- Turn left onto 290th St (on a right-turning curve in County V just after a small hill with trees).
- Take 290th St 1.3 miles until you reach the stop sign at a T in the road.
- At the T in the road, take a left onto 1450th Ave (aka Barron Dunn Ave).
- In less than a mile, just over a hill, you will find the retreat property on the left. There is a small wooden sign near the entrance that says “Common Ground”. There is an old wagon parked in the yard near the building. Welcome!
