Practice Meetings

If you have a practice question or challenge, there are several ways to get support from Common Ground's Dharma teachers:

  • Weekly Practice Groups - these groups are a great starting point to hear from our Guiding Teachers and connect with our community.
  • Community Practice Check-Ins - these small groups are designed for community members to ask specific questions or share their experience.
  • One-on-one meetings (see below) - this is best for questions that aren't well suited for a group setting.

Community members are asked to try out the above groups before scheduling a one-on-one meeting. Group meetings are a wonderful way to not only receive support for your individual practice but also to benefit from the questions and sharing of other practitioners. Before scheduling a meeting with one of our Guiding Teachers (Mark or Shelly) we ask that you attend 3 Weekly Practice Groups with them. Similarly, before scheduling a meeting with another teacher, we ask that you have attended programs with them or are otherwise familiar with their teachings (e.g. have listened to their recordings.)

Individual Meetings

One-on-one meetings are for people with an ongoing mindfulness practice looking for support with active questions in their practice.
