Retreat description: Putting aside our duties, responsibilities, and social engagements for a period of time can be a powerful support for the deepening of insight and for touching into deeper states of calm and peace. During this retreat we will each do our best to maintain a simple and quiet environment, whether we are at the retreat center or practicing on Zoom. The schedule will consist of sitting and walking meditation, small group check-ins, and Dharma talks by the teachers.
The Buddha taught that a calm & serene mind is capable of seeing clearly the nature of the heart and mind in a way that is liberating, leading onwards to greater wisdom and compassion in our lives. Please join us for this week of practice.
Even if you are unable to attend, there are ways to support the retreatants by cooking and purchasing the groceries for the retreat. Please email retreatcenter@commongroundmeditation.org if you are interested in helping make this and other retreats possible.
Common Ground offers all programs freely in the spirit of generosity. If you'd like to volunteer or donate to support the teacher(s) and the center, visit https://commongroundmeditation.org/donate. If you donate, be sure to enter "Tuere Sala" in the Teacher/Program box. 2/3 of the donation supports the teacher(s) and 1/3 supports the general operations of the center.
Please carefully consider whether you can commit to this retreat. Handling registration is time-intensive, so cancellations, especially last-minute ones, are inconvenient and may result in fewer people being able to retreat at the retreat center.
Before applying for the retreat, please review the practice guidelines for our retreat center found here.
